Career Services

McNeese offers internships for credit in most academic disciplines. All students are strongly encouraged to seek internships for the experience, the networking opportunities, and to increase their value in the job market upon graduation. The University facilitates the internship process by networking with employers and informing students of internship opportunities on behalf of the employers. The University does not appoint or select interns; rather, students desiring an internship conduct a job search. Employers’ interview and select the intern applicant they find to be the best fit for their organization.

The goals of the McNeese Internship Program include:
  • Providing career-related experience for students prior to graduation
  • Facilitating a smooth transition from school to work for students
  • Providing high-quality, low cost, skilled employees for employers
